Olive Oil Benefits

Healthy elements and qualities of olive oil

Extra Virgin Olive Oil is healthy, because it is obtained through mechanical process instead of the chemical refinement that other oils undergo. For this reason it maintains all its properties. Extensive scientific research has proven recently that it is nutraceutical and, as a result, its healing and prevention components give it its medicinal value.

The right amounts of ω-3 and ω-6 (the same as in mother’s milk), several anti-oxidantsanti-inflammatoryanti-allergicand anti-viral compounds, make Extra Virgin Olive Oil, work to prevent and heal extensively in pathology:

  • Diabetes: improves glucose metabolism, thus reducing the risk for type 2 diabetes.
  • Obesity: lowers abdominal obesity and, according to recent research, low calorie diets rich in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, work as well as traditional diets do; this is explained through the satisfying feeling fullness after a meal.
