Shrimp Scampi Anisette

Ingredients
  • 1 kilo (2lbs) shrimp
  • ½ cup olive oil 
  • 4 ripe tomatoes or canned 
  • 1 large onion 
  • 2 cloves of garlic crushed 
  • some capers if desired
  • salt, pepper, pinch of paprika 
  • ½ cup of ouzo 
  • chopped parsley 
  • Feta cheese / goat cheese optional

Preparation

  1. In a frying pan lightly sautee the onion and garlic.
  2. Add tomatoes, capers, salt tomato, paprika. Bring sauce to a boil.
  3. Clean and peel shrimp. Chop and place in baking pan.
  4. Add ouzo, parsley, and crumbled cheese to the sauce and pour over shrimp. 
  5. Bake at 180°C for 20 min.
